I still think of and miss Pamela so much. I don't remember the exact date of her passing but I know it was on Easter so that is when I remember it most. She was such a sweet woman.
My on mother passed almost 2 years from lung cancer. We had less than 2 months from when we found out until she passed.
I am so glad you have a printed copy of her journal. It meant a lot to her for you to have it.
You and your brother are still in my prayers

Dear All,
I am so thankful to be reading this guest book right now. My names Christina Hilger, and I am Pamela Hilger's daughter. I can't believe she has almost been gone for four years. April is always the hardest time of month for me but I always know I'm going to make it. These four years have been the toughest but I know my mother is guiding me wherever I go. I thank you all for your prayers and wishes, I hope to continue my mother’s memory and know she was loved by so many people. I do have a fully printed copy of her AOL journal, and I will hold into it forever. Thank you all again. God Bless you all.

May God give you the strength to overcome this time of saddness. Realize that while Pam is gone from this earth, she is not gone from your life. She lives on in your heart and in the hearts of the thousands of people she touched across the world!

Pam Dances
This Easter, Pam dances with a freedom untold
How she touched our souls with her heart of gold.
Her wonderful charm, her words of wit
Through her valiant fight, she never quit.
She shared her life, her grief, her pains
She shared her loves, her joys, her gains
So brave and funny; scared, yet strong
Her spirit upon us as an unsung song.
Here but a season, like her accidental garden,
Until she took God’s hand as she gained His pardon
Now, Pam dances…with joy, and peace too
Our Marshmallow Pam, J-Land misses you!
Rest In Peace Pam

My sympathy to Pamela's family..I know what you are going through..I lost my maternal Grandma to this disease in 1984, my wonderful Mom to it in Feb. this year, and just found out that my M-I-L also has been recently diagnosed w/ it, too. I stumbled upon Pam's Journal just after my Mom was diagnosed last year (8/05) and I was very much impressed w/ how Pamela handled it all...my mom was spunky like her, too (only about 24 yrs older!?) but Mom didn't have the advantages to try to treat hers like Pam had, and DID TRY to do??! I applaud Pam for that! She never gave in or gave up?! I never was able to chat or mail her like most, but I was fortunate enough to read her journal postings and get a better understanding of it...if you're going through it yourself, in some way, it is a bit 'different"..?!- I'll never forget my Mom,of course...but I won't forget Pam, either! She was truly an inspiration to ALL of us!!! :)
May God Bless & Keep You All...

I have to say that I never met or knew Pam. I came across this in one of the forums that Tracey and Randomacts were commenting on. I was curious about Pam. My mother in law passed away a week earlier do to the same form of cancer. I can relate to everything being written here. My MIL, didn't have a journal. She could barely sit up. But, she never complained about it. So, Pam is in my thoughts and prayers, even though I didn't know her. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as well. Juli Schwartz

I was introduced to Pamela through Randomacts. She writes a few journals here, and I followed Pamela's fight. I was so saddened today to hear of her passing. My admiration for her is endless. Here was a woman who shared her battle with us all. The ups, the downs, and all the in betweens. May you rest now Pamela, free from your pain. My condolences must go out to her children, who have lost a wonderful Mother, and to her family and friends.

We met Christina and Pam when they enrolled for Neighborhood Christian school in Santa Clara, Ca.. I was the school secretary and my husband was going to be Christina's fourth grade teacher. I will always remember the family. We were fortunate to get a little kitten from the Hilgers in May of 2001. Pam would update me as we anxiously waited for Shelby to be old enough to be given to us. Pam was a very kind hearted person. I will never forget her smile and tender heart.
Our prayers go to the Hilger family. Christina, I will always remember you sweetie!
Much love and prayers,

Nick and Christina, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I know that there are no words I can say to comfort you in this time of grief. Know that your mother now rests in peace...and in Time, you too will find peace. Allow yourselves to feel your loss and pain whenever those emotions stir. Don't push the feelings away...we must feel to heal. In TIME, she will sooth you with a blanket of Love and Peace.
Your Mother was blessed to posses the greatest gift of all...a heart filled with LOVE. Keep the soul of her spirit alive by letting her live in your hearts and lovingly live through you.
My heartfelt condolences to all of Pam's family, friends and loved ones.
Though my interactions with Pam were few and far in between, the most vivid memory that comes to my mind is that incredibly amazing smile of hers. Everytime I saw her, she was wearing it. Dazzling! Brings a smile to my face just thinking about it.

I am heartbroken to learn of Pam's passing, her kind heart will be missed. Indeed she is an angel watching over all of us. I knew her from her supportive entries in my journal and by reading hers. Pam stuck by me through tough times and always had a positive outlook on life. She was always there with a kind word to pick me up when I was down.
I now give to others what she gave to me... when times are tough, "Hope".
She will be missed and is loved by every life she touched. <3 My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Pam is truly now an "Angel Girl". Pam's journal inspired so many. She was so brave & strong & faced the demon cancer with dignity & humor. I will miss Pam's spirit but I know she will still be with us in our hearts & watching over us. I will always try to have an "accidental garden" in her memory each year.
To her beautiful children who she loved with her whole heart, my prayers are with you each day that your mother's spirit will help your heart heal and grow stronger with each day. I know as you continue in life her spirit will be with you & she will watch over you. She will smile on you with each event of your life. She is & will continue to be proud of you.
To the rest of her family I also hope your hearts heal soon & her spirit can smil through them.

Pam, what a special lady she was, always so upbeat, caring about everyone, a joy to read her Jland sites always. Even with the health problems she was going through she always kept a positive attitude, such an inspiration to all of us who got to know her through her site. Never has anyone touched so many lives as Pam did and she will truly be missed, but she'll always be kept in a special place in my heart. I didn't know her personally, but was always touched when she'd send me a personal note, she had such a caring heart. Pam will always be held as a "Special Sister" in my heart, I'll never forget her as won't her many Jland readers and friends. God calling her home on Easter just confirms how special she was. She's now a special angel watching over all of us. Pam was not just a beautiful person on the outside, but in her heart also. Thanks for sharing your life with all of us, we all felt you were part of our families and loved you.
My special thoughts are with her children and family.Through Pam we got to know you and knew how much she loved each of you. God bless all of you.

I have read Pam's journal and pray for her well being since she discovered her cancer. My admiration knows NO boundaries for her spirit and strong will. We grieve for ourselves, not Pam, she is in a MUCH better place now. Thanks to you, her children and her family for sharing her with all of us.

I am still in denial of this loss! I really am at a loss of words! Pam was a great person with the soul of an angel and she will truly be missed! She was a fighter, and now she is pain free! As she will be loved and her family is in my thoughts, prayers, and hearts!
