Olive King

WOONSOCKET, R.I. Olive (Swift) King, 85, of Woonsocket, R.I., formerly of Medway, died Aug. 22, 2008, in the Friendly Home in Woonsocket. She was the wife of Arthur S. King, who died in 1994. Born in Cumberland, R.I., Sept. 4, 1922, the daughter of the late David and Mary (Reed) Swift, Mrs.King had lived in Medway for 50 years, before moving back to Cumberland R.I., where she lived until moving to Woonsocket, three years ago. Mrs. King was a graduate of Bryant College. She had been an administrative assistant at the Foxboro Company for many years. Mrs. King had enjoyed, for many years, spending time with her husband in Ashland, N.H., at their vacation home. She was deeply involved with her church in Medway. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 27, in Christ Episcopal Church, School Street, Medway, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Medway. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, Aug. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes .com), 3 Barber St., Medway.
