Margaret Abbott Obituary

FRANKLIN Margaret (Collett) Abbott, 83, of Franklin died Oct. 7, 2008, in Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of William S. Abbott Jr., who died in 2003. Born in Melrose, March 23, 1925, the daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret (Moylan) Collett, Mrs. Abbott was raised in Melrose and lived in Franklin since 1964. Mrs. Abbott was an administrative assistant at Dean College for many years before retiring. She was previously the office manager at the W.T. Grant department store in Milford. She is survived by her sons, John P. Abbott of Hatfield and Stephen W. Abbott of Franklin. Services will be private, with burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Arthritis Foundation of Mass., 29 Crafts St., Suite 450, Newton, MA 02458. Arrangements are under the care of Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 131 Main St., Franklin.

Hi Steve- I had not seen your mom in some time, but I thought of her often. Sorry for your loss. She was a good woman. Full of spunk!!!! Funny!Funny!Funny! I'm sure the cats are crying inside.
