Dorothy Steeves Obituary

MILFORD Dorothy M. (Gandolfi) Steeves, 81, of Milford died Monday, Oct. 19, 2008, in the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Ralph W. Steeves for 62 years. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Domenico and Maria (Artenchi) Gandolfi, and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was educated in the Milford schools. Mrs. Steeves retired in 1993 from the former Telecron Co. in Ashland, where she was employed as an assembler. She was a communicant at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Robert R. Steeves and his wife, Nancy (Nasuti), of Attleboro, Peter E. Steeves and his wife, Cathy (Fee), of Uxbridge and John J. Steeves and his wife, Sharon (Curtis), of Blackstone; two daughters, Sharon E. Ficco and her husband, Thomas, of Franklin and Cynthia L. Masse and her husband, Pete, of Bellingham; three sisters, Fili Guerrini of West Yarmouth, Mary DeDominick of Milford and Eleanor Slattery of Milford; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Michael Masse; and four brothers, Peter Gandolfi, Charles Gandolfi, John Gandolfi and Alfred Gandolfi. The funeral will be held Friday, Oct. 24, at 8 a.m., from Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m., in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St., Milford. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Boston Childrens Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115. Dottys kids,Bobby,Teddy, and Sharon were part of my life in the early days(1962,63)on Grant St. in Milford.I will never forget those days when we were all young.It was great times with a great family.God Bless you all.
