Charlotte Paine Obituary

MEDWAY Charlotte E. (Gibson) Paine, 87, of Medway, died Oct. 30, 2008, in Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Walter Paine, who died in 1998. Born in Framingham, Sept. 6, 1921, the daughter of the late Carl and Charlotte (Rice) Gibson, Mrs. Paine was raised in Natick and lived in Framingham for many years, prior to moving to Medway 20 years ago. Mrs. Paine was a clerk at the Natick Labs for many years. Mrs. Paine loved to bowl, cross-country ski and loved animals of every kind. She is survived by her daughter, Linda S. Rice and her husband, Arthur, of Whitinsville, formerly of Medway; and her brother, Carl Gibson of Burlington, N.C. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Landry and Evelyn McCafferty. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Timothy, Kristen and Shawn; and great-grandchildren, Anna, Danny, Brandon and Mikayla. Her funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 3, in Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneral homes.com), 3 Barber St., Medway, at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Dell Park, Natick. Visitation will be on Monday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Purr-Fect Cat Shelter, Box 548, Medway, MA 02053.
