Virginia Bennett Obituary

Virginia H. Bennett MILLIS Virginia Helen (Lougee) Bennett, 84, of Millis, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham. Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Scott and Narcissa (Simmons) Lougee. She was educated in the Millis Public School system and was a graduate of Bridgewater State Teachers College. A resident of Millis since 1963, Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Millis Senior Citizens Club and enjoyed gardening, bird watching, reading and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed taking trips to Foxwoods Casino and Cape Cod. Predeceased by her husband, Ralph Gardner Bennett, she is survived by her children, Sandra Lee Johanson of Lakewood, Colo., Ralph G. Bennett Jr. of Millis, Scott D. Bennett of Havre de Grace, Md., Marcia J. Bennett of Millis and Bradford A. Bennett of Johnston, R.I. She was predeceased by her daughter, Janet H. Gee, and her brother, Richard S. Lougee. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 2, at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 90 Curve St., Millis, at 5 p.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 2 to 5 p.m. Those wishing may make donations in Virginias name to the Friends of Council on Aging, 900 Main St., Millis, MA 02054.
