Mary E. Guerino

MILFORD Mary E. (Consoletti) Guerino, 102, of Milford, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at the Geriatric Authority of Milford, with family and friends by her side. She was the wife of Joseph Guerino, who died in 1981. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria (Ianontuono) Consoletti, and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was a graduate of Milford High School. She was employed for many years as an office assistant at Archer Rubber Co. and Fenwal Laboratories. She loved to travel, cook, visit and entertain her family. She was an avid walker, reader and enjoyed music and solving crossword puzzles. Mrs. Guerino was a life member of the Sacred Heart Women's Guild and a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. In 2006, Mrs. Guerino was honored at her 100th birthday with more than 70 relatives, friends, and state and town officials in attendance. She received citations from the White House, Senate and Massachusetts State House. She was the oldest resident at the Milford Geriatric Authority. She is survived by one son, Joseph and his wife, Helen Guerino, and two daughters, Anne and her husband, Richard Morin, and Rita and her husband, Joseph Diotalevi, all of Safety Harbor, Fla.; one brother, Joseph Consoletti of Milford; seven grandchildren, Rachel Morin-Lawrence, Dawn Morin-Murphy, John Morin, Dean Diotalevi and Joni Diotalevi-Costa, all of the Milford area, Lisa Guerino and Alison Guerino-Paulson of Florida; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Richard A. Morin, her sisters Carmella Wright, Pauline Pontonio and Antoinette O'Neil, and her brothers, James Consoletti and Louis Consoletti. A Mass of Christian burial was to be held Tuesday, Nov. 18, in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
