My memories of Uncle Bob (my godfather) are filled with his warm gentle ways and good-natured teasing. Always ready with a funny story and questions about what was going on in my life which somehow put me in the center of our conversations. Even as a child he made me feel that what I had to say was important to him. Despite the loss of his thumb in a war injury, he found a way to make it part of who he was. No sense of disability, self-pity or bitterness, in fact it was his main story line in most of his jokes! It wasn't until I was an adult that I fully appreciated the extent of his sense of duty, pride and service to the country. Another loss from the Greatest Generation. Rest in peace Uncle Bob.

To Mr. Tacconi's family: I had the pleasure of providing PT for him at Milford Hospital several months ago...He was such a pleasure! Mr. Tacconi took pride in all of his architectural endeavors and told me some fantastic stories. He also described the great love he had for his family. May you all find strength in the difficult days ahead, and peace in knowing that you will one day see him again.
