Ronald Rockel Obituary

FRANKLIN Ronald E. Rockel, 60, of Franklin, died, Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at Life Care Center of Attleboro. He was the husband of Marie A. (Brown) Rockel since 1979. Born in Boston, July 14, 1948, he was a son of the late Albert and Emma (Powers) Rockel. Mr. Rockel was a resident of Franklin since 1988 and previously resided in Bellingham. Before becoming disabled in 1992, he was a technician at Raytheon Corp. in Waltham for 28 years. He was also a volunteer firefighter in Bellingham for many years. Mr. Rockel was a former member of the Bellingham Bible Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and bowling. Besides his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Richard of Woonsocket, R.I., and John of North Smithfield, R.I. He is also survived by six nieces and three nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m., in Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 131 Main St. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Franklin. Calling hours will be held Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Friends of Franklin, 50 Corbin St., Franklin, MA 02038.

Marie, I am sorry for your loss and there really is nothing I could say to make it any easier exept to let you know I will pray for you. e-mail me if you want. I really did love Ronny as a cousin.
