Carmella Suwalski Obituary

MILFORD Carmella A. (DeSalvia) Suwalski, 80, of Milford, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of 55 years of Joseph Suwalski. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Michael and Giovianina (Constantino) DeSalvia, and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1946. She was employed at the former Stylon Corporation in Milford. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She enjoyed bingo, and was an avid Milford Legion Baseball fan. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one brother, Michael DeSalvia Jr. and one sister, Josephine Terasconi, both of Milford. She is also survived by Dennis and his wife, Jean (Simmons) Terasconi, of Hopedale, Richard and his wife, Roseann (Terasconi) Dubois, of Woonsocket, R.I., Kenneth Pandozzi of Smithfield, R.I., Dennis and his wife, Debbie (Suwalski) Rego, and John Suwalski, both of Florida, Marianne Karpowicz of New York, and Stella Rumovitz of Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her brother, Nicholas DeSalvia, and two sisters, Rose Pandozzi and Pauline Terasconi. A funeral home service will take place Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 9 a.m., at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Road in Milford.
