JOSEPH KONCSOL JR. AGE: 90 EDISON
Joseph Koncsol Jr. died peacefully with his son, daughter and son-in-law by his side on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison. John was born in Perth Amboy and moved to Edison over 50 years ago. He was a cable tester for General Cable Corp. of Perth Amboy for 43 years before retiring in 1983. He was the recording secretary for IBEW No. 1164 in Perth Amboy. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the Navy.
He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Kalapos) Koncsol; his parents, Joseph and Ester Koncsol; and his brothers, Walter, Louis, Rudolf, and William. He is survived by his son, Joseph III of Neptune City; his daughter, Carol and her husband Thomas Polito of Edison; and his grandson, TJ Polito.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 8:30 a.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave., Edison; followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at Guardian Angels RC Church in Edison; interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m at the funeral home.

Dear Carol, sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. In reading about him. I realized that he probably knew my father who also worked in Cable Works for 30 years starting about 1940. Too bad we didn't know that earlier, we could have asked them about coomon experienes. My best to you and your family.

Joe, Carol and Tom,
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.To say the least, Uncle Joe was by far and away my favorite uncle and he will be missed terribly.Im was lucky enough that the last thing we shared together was a great dinner last summer and that will be the last memory i have of him but it will not by any means be the only one...Rest in peace Uncle Joe, I LOVE YOU!
