Carl Bauer Obituary

Carl E. Bauer, 87 FALLBROOK -- Carl passed away Friday, September 17, 2010. He was born in Huntington Park, Calif., on July 15, 1923 to Elmer and Anna Bauer. He graduated from Huntington Park High School and served in the Army during WWII. Carl was the owner of Bauer Lumber in Carlsbad and Compton, Calif. He enjoyed spending time with family, going on hunting and fishing trips, and his membership in the Rotary, Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He especially enjoyed his fishing trips to Alaska with his sons and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Claire. Carl is survived by his wife, Janeen of 36 years; children, Kristi (Bud) White, John (Sheila) Bauer, Craig Bauer; granddaughters, Megan (Chris) Rosenstock, Marisa (Leif) Palmquist, Annelise Bauer; grandsons Kevin White, Matthew Bauer, and Nicholas Bauer; and four great-grandchildren; two step-children, Kathleen (Ted) St. John, and Craig (Jody) St. John; and three step-grandchildren. A private family service is planned. We request in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Sign the Guest Book online obits.nctimes.com
