Marian Eaton Obituary

Marian Chris Eaton LAKE SAN MARCOS -- Marian Chris Eaton passed away Friday, September 3 2010. She was born June 25, 1918 in Merced, Calif., to Alice Brude Ernst of Norway and Robert Ernst of Michigan. Chris was an Executive Secretary for Levi & Zenter, a major produce packing company in the Sacramento Valley for 18 years. It was there that she met the love of her life, Virgil Walter Eaton. They were married on June 11, 1960. The Eatons traveled throughout the United States and Europe, and were able to visit a family reunion in Norway in 1992. She moved to Lake San Marcos to be closer to her family in 2001. Chris was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Walter Eaton; and step-son, Dennis Eaton. She is survived by her sister, Gladys L. Stillman of Lake San Marcos; her brother, Charles Ernst (wife Barbara) of Palo Alto; nieces, Susan Stillman (Oceanside), and Marty Miller (husband Rod); nephews, Ed Stillman (wife Ruth Ann) of Austin Texas, and Steven R. Stillman (wife Janine) of Arroyo Grande; and many great nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Chris also leaves a number of friends at Lake San Marcos, many who became very dear to her. She loved the social gathering and the the joy it brought her. She always arrived with a positive attitude and great outlook on life that she shared with others. We were sorry to hear of Chris's passing. She and Virgil were good neighbors at Hillcrest Court. Chris was a fun tennis partner and always friendly and kind. Our sympathy to Gladis and all the family.
