My fondest memories of Kay were when we played softball together. I can still hear her yelling from the dug out. Most of which I probably shouldn't repeat. Afterwards we would all go out for pizza and beer. We always seemed to be the loudest group in the place, and it was usually because Kay was yelling across the room at one of us kids, teasing us in her usual way making us laugh. My other memories were from playing Bunko with her on Friday nights. I miss teasing with the girls and then "telling on them" to Kay. She always made sure to give them an extra hard time. Then we would all laugh. Thanks for ALL the laughs Kay. We will miss you!

To the Garner Family: The many years that our family and yours were neighbors on Marjorie Place, Kay was always a friend that could be counted on for almost any need. She stepped in a few occasions when our children needed assistance and John was at work and I needed to be in Santee taking care of family business for John's grandparents. She never said no and never turned away because she was too busy. She touched many lives both at the schools and at home. She was a warm and loving woman and will not be forgotten. She was special.
