Corrine Hughes Obituary

Corrine E. Hughes 06/14/1930 ~ 10/15/2010 CARLSBAD -- Corrine E. Hughes moved with her parents in 1950 to California to pursue her love of singing and music. She became a bookkeeper for a graphic arts firm where she worked until she retired She married Ronald Hughes who preceded her in death in 1968. After retiring, she worked at Legoland in Carlsbad for fun. Her love of bowling took up much of her time. She was active in three leagues and was a member of the 600 Club. Her friends will remember her for her famous line, "I hate this game." Corrine was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Shaffer; parents; and her husband, Ronald R. Hughes. She is survived by grandson, Ian Shaffer; brother, Frank Bucaccio; nephew, Carl Bucaccio; and niece, Claudia Gallup. Donations in her honor can be made to: Hospice of the North Coast, 5441 Avenida Encinas, suite A, Carlsbad, Calif. 92008. Her smile and sense of humor were always with her.
