Sandra Miller Obituary

Sandra W. "Sandy" Miller VISTA -- Sandra Miller, 62, passed away Monday morning, October 18, 2010, at home, losing her two year battle with cancer. She was born January 13, 1948 in Thomasville, Ga., daughter of Laurice Sandlin and Clint Worthy. As a child, she also lived in North Carolina before moving to Fallbrook, Calif., in 1955. She was a graduate of Fallbrook High School in 1966, married James C. Miller, and moved to Vista, all within that same year. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Michael J. Miller and daughter-in-law, Jennifer of Sacramento; daughter, Corinne Miller of Arcadia, Calif.; sister, Connie Fallstad of Bonsall, Calif.; brother, Dale Worthy of Monticello, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews. Sandy was a elementary school teacher for many years with the Vista Unified School District, retiring in 2004. She was an avid conservationist who loved art, teaching, and playing games with family and friends. She will be remembered as a hard worker that clearly loved her family. At her request, she will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her name to The American Cancer Society. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date. Mom I will allways Love you. I miss you and wish you were here. But God has taken you for a reason. And I am sure that you are in a much happier place. I know that you are looking down upon me and will be guiding through spirt. Love your Son

Mrs. Miller was the nicest and most gentle lady I knew. Very caring and always willing to help out anyone. I only saw her a few times after her retirement always during Christimas ringing the bell for the salvation army. We will all truly miss her. Kris Dianish
