Gloria Murphy Obituary

Gloria P. Murphy, 86 SAN MARCOS -- Gloria P. Murphy passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010. Gloria was born on April 4, 1924 in Rehoboth, Mass. She was married to James M. Murphy for 48 years before his passing in 1999. The Murphy's moved to Escondido in 1961, before relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1978. Gloria returned to San Marcos in 2001. She was a hardworking woman and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Escondido. She is survived by daughter, Linda (Danny) Courton of Escondido; son, William (Janice) Murphy of Temecula; grandchildren, Kelle (Robert) Wright of San Diego, Douglas (Dena) Courton of Escondido, Christa (Jasen) Matlock of Temecula, and Ryan (Jamie) Murphy of Aliso Viejo; and great- grandchildren, Lucas Wright, Mallory Wright, Carsen Matlock, Evan Matlock, Owen Matlock, Katelyn Murphy, and Michael Murphy.
