Charles Hoyt Obituary

HOYT--Charles Orcutt, died on October 16, 2007 in his home in New York City. He was 78. Born in 1929 to Henry H. Hoyt and Anna O. Hoyt, Charles Hoyt grew up in South Orange, New Jersey. He distinguished himself as a student at Pingry School in the class of 1947 and at Princeton University in the class of 1951, where he graduated with high honors. He received his MBA from Columbia University in 1953, and then he joined the pharmaceutical and consumer products company, CarterWallace, Inc., where he rose to become Chairman of the Executive Committee. He retired in 1996. Charles Hoyt is survived by his wife, Suzanne C. Hoyt, his four children, Scott C. Hoyt, Susan T. Hoyt, Ames H. Hoyt, and Sarah H. Steidel, his stepson, William Nguyen, and his six grandchildren. A service will be held at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1076 Madison Avenue, New York City, at 10:00am on Saturday, October 20th.
