James (Brew) was a great friend to me and many others. His time came much too soon to a terrible disease, but I am glad that I had Brew in my life as my best friend for so long. We will all miss him dearly. My condolences to his family and friends.

I would like to express my sorrow upon hearing of the loss of much loved, James (Brew) Gibbs. My son Damien has been blessed with many years of friendship with Brew, as have his wife Adrienne, and the friends too numerous to mention.
As a mother I felt blessed that such a great group of "kids" remained friends, and took care of each other.
I hope these memories, and all the memories of the family and friends, help to make this loss less painful.

My heart goes out to all of James' family and friends. I counted Brew as one of my dearest friends amidst all the chaos that was high school and early adulthood. I could always rely on James to keep me fighting when life seemed to run amok. With a well placed joke, he had the ability to deliver bitingly honest humor that always kept me focused and alert. I cherished his friendship as a rare gift I could never repay. We will deeply miss you, Brew.

My heart goes out to all who Loved Brew. May his smile, love and generosity live in your hearts. He was a great Son, Husband, Father, Brother and Friend. He will be missed. But he will always live in our memories and hearts.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Michele, Jack, Dee, Saundra and everyone else that cared so much for James. Brew will always have a special place in my heart. He has been such an incredible, compassionate and trusting friend. I have sincerely been blessed to have had Brew in my life. I will never forget all the crazy times at the Groton house, visiting New Haven and hanging out at El Amigo Felix, adventures in the city and everything in between. I will truly miss you.
