Mortimer Goldman Obituary

GOLDMAN--Mortimer, age 86, son of Morris and Celia Goldman, died peacefully at White Plains Hospital, October 24, 2007 after a brave battle. A true child of The Bronx, proud alumnus of DeWitt Clinton High School and City College, Morty was a World War II veteran and a decorated B-25 bomber pilot with the 822nd Bomb Squadron in the Pacific. He was an avid pilot well into his 70s. A longtime resident of New Rochelle, he was husband to Edith Goldman; father to Alisa Fastenberg, Mitchell Goldman and the late Daniel Goldman; father-in-law to Leslie Neblett and the late Steven Fastenberg; grandfather to Jesse Fastenberg and Leina D. Goldman; uncle and cousin to a large and joyous extended family. Donations can be made to the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Services Sunday, 11:15am, at "The Riverside", 76th St. and Amsterdam Ave.
