I had the privilege of working as an Administrative Assistant for Mr. Bing, Mr. Artel and others at Thomas A. Greene & Co. from 1981 - 1986. I will always remember his distinct smile. I would like to say to the family you have my deepest sympathy.

Through my father, I have known John Bing my entire life. He was a familiar and friendly face at many social functions and his presence will be sincerely missed. The world has lost an icon and a legend.

John was an intelligent business man and a driving force behind Bleichroeder Bing, the company where I started my career in 1967. He was highly regarded and respected for his knowledge in the field of insurance. I consider myself fortunate to have had John as a mentor and good friend for these past forty years as he was a guiding force in the development of my career. My condolences to the Bing family.

I first met John around 10 years ago and many times a year thereafter. He was a great contributor to any arbitration panel. His smiling face was always great to see and it will be missed. Heart felt condolences go out to his family. Auf Wiedersehen John.

I had the very good fortune to begin my career in Marine Insurance at Bleichroeder,Bing in 1974. The support I received from John was invaluable and inspirational. The firm which he was so instrumental in organizing, was the best in the business thanks to John's masterly touch.

I will carry these memories perpetually and consider myself blessed to have known such a fine leader, gentleman, and guiding spirit.

I knew John since 1941 when we both worked at Bleichroeder Bing New York. Since 1947 I live in Argentina but on my annual visits to NY we always had a friendly reunion. We even planned to meet in Europe earlier this year but neither of us was able to make the trip. My sincerest condolences to his family. I feel that I have lost a good friend

John was the senior member of the Bing/Stern family for the last 25 years. He had a long, full and useful life, which will leave many happy memories. He was always good company, interested in so much, even still in our last meeting in March this year. I will miss him enormously and send deepest sympathy to his children, grand and great-grand children.
