Margaret Montgomery Obituary

MONTGOMERY--Margaret and James M., of Amityville, L.I., suddenly on November 22, 2007. Beloved mother and father of Alexander Montgomery and Katherine M. Porter and her husband Frederick. Cherished grandparents of James J. and William N. Porter. Mrs. Montgomery is also survived by her brother Donald O'Rourke, her sister Mimi Spagnoli, and predeceased by her brothers Gerald and John O'Rourke, and her sister Honor Williams. Mr. Montgomery is survived by his sister Nina Dana. The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4:30 and 79:30pm at the Powell Funeral Home, Inc., 67 Broadway (Rt. 110), Amityville. Amityville Fire Dept. service 7:30pm. Prayers 8:00pm. Funeral Mass Friday, 9:30am,. St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church, Amityville. Interment Saturday, Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Montgomery's name be directed to the Kennebec Land Trust, 134 Main St., Suite 2B, Winthrop, ME 04364, and memorials in Mr. Montgomery's name be directed to the Amityville Fire Department, 55 West Oak St., Amityville, NY 11701. Envelopes available at the funeral home.

I really liked Jim And Maggie .I knew
them for a long time I went to there summer house in Maine .I loved them very much.

I lived in the Town of Babylon for years and Jim and Maggie Montgomery were the nicest people on earth. I knew Maggie from the Junior League and the Amityville Women's Club. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
