William Kaufman Obituary

KAUFMAN--William E. Died peacefully November 27th, beloved husband of Edna and Eleanor (deceased). Adored father of Douglas, Jill, and Kenneth; Special step-father to Deborah, Richard, Laura and Robert; Awesome grandpa to 12. Brother, Robert of Scarsdale also survives. Bill graduated from Horace Mann in 1943 and Columbia College in 1949. He enlisted in the Navy at age 17 and served his country well during World War II. He was a fabulous athlete, a man of great courage and integrity. A celebration of his life will be at Sunningdale Country Club in Scarsdale, Saturday, December 1st at 1:00pm. He will be very much missed and remembered by those who loved him dearly. Contributions in Bill's memory to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Dear Edie, Ken, Jill and Doug,
Susan, Paul and I have some wonderful memories of life on Stony Brook Place with the Kaufmans and how a welcoming party was made for us when we moved here 30 years ago. Sorry to read about the news. My condolences to all. Marilyn Yablon
