Hilda Friedman Obituary

FRIEDMAN--Hilda, peacefully at age 94. Loving wife for 67 years of the late Maurice Friedman; mother and mother-in-law of Stephen and Barbara Friedman, Phyllis and Brad Perkins, Richard and Joanna Friedman; grandmother and grandmother-inlaw of Suzy and David Cohen; Caroline and David Levy; David Benioff Friedman and Amanda Peet; Rachael and Moshe Arenstein; Judith and Scott Schiamberg; Rebecca and Patrick McMenamin; great-grandmother of Sam and Zeke Cohen; Tea and Evelina Levy; Frankie P. Friedman; Micah and Noam Arenstein; Mireille and Eloise Schiamberg; sister of Edward Kaufman and the late Milton Kaufman; sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to many more. From youth to extreme old age, care for others was the hallmark of her life. A woman of high standards, keen perception and tart wit, she found fulfillment in a life focused on family and friends, who where enriched by the depth and sincerity of her love, returned it to her, and will miss her. Funeral services will be at Gutterman's, 800 Jericho Turnpike., Woodbury, NY 11797, Sunday, promptly at 10am. Shiva Sunday, 5-9pm at Steve and Barbara's; Monday and Tuesday 7-9pm at Phyllis and Brad's; Tuesday and Wednesday 8pm on at Rich and Joanna's.
