James Coolbaugh Obituary

James. S. "Jim" Coolbaugh, 85, of DeLand, FL passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at his home. Born in Stockton, KS he moved to DeLand in 1987 from New England. He was a 1947 graduate of West Point Military Academy and served in the Army Air Corp. He was inducted into the Air Force Hall of Fame, was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Trinity United Methodist Church in DeLand. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Yvonne; three sons, Mark (Jan) Coolbaugh, Maitland, FL, Brian (Jennifer) Coolbaugh, N. Grafton, MA and Thomas (Lisa) Coolbaugh, Fairfax, VA; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand with Rev. John Campbell officiating. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, One Valley Square, Suite 133, 512 Township Line Road, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
