Margaret Diana Tindal

Margaret Diana Tindal, 66, of DeLand died on January 26, 2009 surrounded by family and friends. Marge Tindal was known throughout DeLand for naming, building, and operating Date-N-Skate Roller Skating Center with her ex husband, Hartwell Tindal. "Mrs. T" touched the lives of countless DeLand residents who enjoyed working for her or growing up in the safe, family environment of the skating rink. Marge Tindal left DeLand for several years and resided in Clermont, Florida where she was the Executive Director of the Clermont Chamber of Commerce before working as Executive Secretary at Cherry Lake Farms. Upon returning to DeLand, Marge Tindal pursued her love of writing and was a successful author and poet who wrote and published "Out of the Whispering Winds". Marge Tindal has won worldwide recognition for her contributions to and moderation of several online poetry sites. She was also a member of the The National Museum of Women in the Arts. Marge Tindal was preceded in death by her sister, Shari, her brother, Mike, her mother, Beverly Adams, and her father, Jack Cowart. She is survived by her brother, Tony Cowart of DeLand; sister, Lori Seiss of California; her beloved children, son, Robert and his wife, Dana, son, Steven and his wife, Gia, daughter, Tracie and her husband, Sean, son, David and his wife, Kim, and her two "grandie girls", Delaney and Landry, who were the loves of her life; and family members, Teresa Allen, Hank and Wanda Buck, Nedra Sinclair, and Buster Jones. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all. Baldauff Funeral Home in Orange City is in charge of the services, and flowers and cards may be sent to them. A memorial service will be held at The Lighthouse Church in Deland on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.
