Born Dec. 30, 1964, in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Dennis Glenward "Glen" Evans and Patricia Kidd Wright and stepfather, Garland, of Shipman.

Besides his father he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lewis Andrew Kidd and Helen Bradley Kidd.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and caring wife, Joan Householder Evans. He was the proud father of his twins, Cody and Christin Evans. He is also survived by his stepmother, Lee Evans of Piney River; two brothers, Phillip Evans and Bradley Wright; two nephews, P.J., and Robbie Evans; a niece, Angel Wright; his mother and father-in-law, Gene and Carol Householder of Winchester; a sister-in-law , Joyce Householder of Winchester; and a step-brother David Neighbors.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Lovingston with Pastors John P. Campbell, Debbie Powell and Todd Peck officiating.

Interment will follow in the Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery in Lovingston.

The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and suggests that memorials take the form of contributions to the Nelson United Methodist Church, 5239 Thomas Nelson Highway, Arrington VA 22922 for the Nelson County Food Pantry.
