Dear Phyllis,
Please accept my most sincere condolences. I just learned of Don's passing today. I worked with Don at WFOG in Suffolk and in Norfolk. He was a great guy, with great pipes! He and Allan Pressly made a mornings very pleasant and they made a great team too.
May God bless and keep you and yours until that great day that we will all meet again. Take care.

Don was a great person to work with and he will be missed by all who knew him. Radio has lost one of it's best announcers.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Don's passing. Don was a true professional. I had the pleasure of working with him on News Radio 790 WNIS in Norfolk. As a fellow broadcaster and ham radio operator, my deepest condolences to his family. He will be missed.

I extend my deepest sympathies to the family of Don Wayne (Beckstrom.) Don was friendly, intelligent, and had a gifted voice. I had the pleasure of working with Don a few times over the years. I wish I could have worked with him more because he was such a fabulous talent and willing teacher. He always had the jobs that demanded the best from the best. And, that's Don Wayne. He will be sorely missed by his associates, as well as thousands of fans.

My condolences to the family. When I was a very young kid with hopes of becoming a disk jockey, I used to visit Don at WDMS (WLGM). He was patient, knowledgeable, and taught me to "smile when you turn on the microphone".
