Harry Hubert Hise

Harry Hubert Hise, 79, of King Avenue, Waynesboro, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2008, at his residence.

Born February 25, 2008, in Augusta County, he was a son of the late Susan V. Hise.

He was a member of the Waynesboro Church of the Brethren, served in the United States Army and retired in 1985 after 32 years of service from the former DuPont Company of Waynesboro.

He was a square dance caller for 40 years, an avid golfer, and most of all, a loving husband, father and grandpa.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ada Mae (Lavender) Hise; a daughter, Hope Walker and her husband, Jody, of Waynesboro; a grand-daughter, Amy Giles and her husband, David; three great-grandchildren, Chloe Bradford, Dregan Giles and Grayson Giles.

He also leaves a brother-in-law, Ed Lavender and his wife Martha Jane of Stuarts Draft.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2008, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Edward Carl and Father John Moses officiating.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home, friends may call at the residence.
