Phil..... as a boy I loved going in to shop....You were friendy , helpful and informative.....I bought my first lacrosse stick in your store with my father.. I will never forget that day .I tell my sons and daughters what you were like and how Phils was like. It seems silly but your shop was positive part of my life growing up and I sincerely thank you .......

Phil was a veritable institution in Manhasset for so many years. Stopping by to pick up a new pair of Cons, to get the baseball glove relaced, or just to hear Phil say, "hey Collins". And buying anything never meant cash, it meant signing a little piece of paper. That was a great time in Manhasset. And Phil was a very big part of it. God Bless him and his family.

May he rest in peace. A little bit of Manhasset died the day Phil's Sporting Goods closed its doors. Now we are saddened by Phil's passing. God Bless the Ruggiero family.
