George Siebert Obituary

SIEBERT - George J., 92, of Cheshire, CT, formerly of Carle Place, NY, died Thursday June 19, 2008 in Waterbury. He was the husband of the late Grace (Bahrenburg) Siebert. Mr. Siebert was born June 20, 1915 in Queens, NY a son of the late George J. and Lillian (May) Siebert and has been a Cheshire resident for the past 11 years. He was a graduate of Jamaica High School and Long Island University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree. He was the Vending department Manager for Pepsi Cola retiring with over 40 years of service. After his retirement, George enjoyed building clocks and selling them at area craft fairs. He was also a member of the Cheshire Senior Center and St. Peter's Episcopal Church. George was a Veteran of WW II serving in the US Army. He leaves his daughters, Lois Siebert Sadler of Cheshire, Barbara Willhoft of Pound Ridge, NY and four grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday at 11am at Nassau Knolls Cemetery, Port Washington, NY. There are no calling hours. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church 59 Main Street Cheshire, CT., 06410.
