Leonard Perretta Obituary


PERRETTA - Leonard Sr., 82, of Asheboro, NC and formerly of Elmont, NY died Friday, June 20, 2008. He was a member of the American Legion Baldwin Post #246 and the Nassau County Forty and Eight Voiture #803, and a long-time parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elmont, NY. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific Theater as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Angelina, two sons, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held from 6–8pm on Friday, June 27 at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, and a Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Father Christopher Davis, will be held at 1pm on Saturday, June 28 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Asheboro. A Memorial Service in NY will be held at a future time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, Memorials and Tributes, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058, or St. Joseph Catholic Church, 512 W. Wainman Ave., Asheboro, NC 27203.
