I heard of Leigh's passing through our mutual friend, Pat. Though many miles away, South Elm Street in Hicksville will always be "home".
I remember Leigh and how happy he was the last time I saw him (many years ago). On behalf of my brothers, Bill and Jim, we send our sincere condolences.

Laurel,
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Leigh was such a big part of my childhood, I have such fond memories of your family and mine growing up on South Elm St. He is home now with your Mom and Dad. My they all rest in peace.

Our families grew up together on South Elm Street in Hicksville, I try to read the Newsday since I have moved to Fla. It saddens me so, the last time I saw Leigh was in Oyster Bay where I lived for 20 years prior to moving to Fla, at the Homestead Rest. where I worked, going through college and Leigh was friends with the cheif Tommy. I had a wonderful time growing up with Leigh and will never for get him. I remember Laurel having long beautiful hair and having a great dane. Sorry to hear of his passing. It saddens me.
