Charles Matthews Obituary

MATTHEWS - Charles Stanley, 69, of Twin Bay Court, Calabash, NC died Saturday, July 12, 2008. Born in Massapequa Park, NY on October 2, 1938, he was a son of Virginia Rodrigeuz Matthews of Pompano Beach, FL. and the late Charles Matthews. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Marcia Beswick Matthews of the home. Three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles P. and Christine Matthews, Wantagh, NY, Brian C. and Marcie Matthews, Tampa, FL, Christopher D. and Naomi Matthews, San Diego, CA. Three brothers Brian Matthews, Calabash, NC, Richard Matthews, California and Michael Matthews, Mexico. Two sisters Maryanne Matthews and Veronica Tabor, both of Pompano Beach, FL. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 1:00pm in the St. Brendans, The Navigator, Catholic Church, Shallotte, NC. Burial will follow in the Brunswick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Please visit brunswickfuneralservice.com.
