Dorothy Lightner Obituary

LIGHTNER - Dorothy, 80, of Montville, CT, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2008 at Orchard Grove in Montville. She was born on August 8, 1927 in Patchogue, NY. Dorothy was married to Walter Lightner of Sayville, NY; he predeceased her in 1993. Dorothy received great satisfaction working as a bus driver for handicapped children. After retiring, she enjoyed collecting shells, statuettes and other knick-knacks as well as listening to a variety of music. She is survived by her daughter Penny Sue Palock of Sayville, NY, her son and daughter-in-law Gary and Barbara Lightner of Oakdale, CT, and her grandchildren Andrew, Troy and Karolyn. Calling hours will be held at the Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St, Norwich on Monday, July 28, 2008 from 24pm. A private burial will be held at the Florida National Cemetery.
