You were a wonderful father and grandfather. You should be very proud of the wonderful daughters that you raised. Your dedication to the fire department and the fine job you did is to be greatly admired. Your fine legacy will live on through your children and their children. We are said that you are gone, but rejoice and celebrate the wonderful life you lived.

I loved my Great Grandfather so much. I know he is in a better place now, no longer suffering here on this earth. It was hard to see everyone else who loved this great man weeping. The crying was not over him dying but rather crying as we remembered all the amazing memories of this modern day hero. A firefighter and veteran, he truly lived a full and wonderful life. Me, being the oldest great grandchild, I got to spend 20 years with this great man. I can recall the many times going to his house and drinking lemonade with my Nanny and him. I remember sitting on the back porch and looking in the backyard at his prized garden. It is little memories like these that will remain with me for the rest of my life. I can say from my little brother and sister we truly miss him, but we know he is in heaven looking down at us... Sooner or later we will be reunited and I truly look forward to that day. I love you Grandpa. Rest in Peace.....
