To the Hartnett family,
your beautiful son has touched so many lives. He was an amazing young man who was meant for greatness! I hope that you can be comforted knowing that so many people loved and admired him. I know I did! Stanley John Hartnett is and always will be a beautiful piece of so many lives. Stan- thank you for coming into all of our lives and giving us the gift of you! You were a character boy! after you passed everybody came together and each person brought with them a little piece of you with their stories and memories- that only made us know you and love you more! we miss you more then you could ever know.

May God give your family strength. Remember Stan always. Although I did not know you or your family and friends, I know of a family who expierenced this tragic loss Summer of 2007, and all I can say is GOD must be building a SUPER BOWL team in heaven. GOD BLESS!! STAN #14 and RAY #41 !!!!!!!!

where do i begin??? the support & prayers that our family has received is overwhelming! there are so many people i want to thank but until then, i just want you all to know, you've kept us strong. stan left us a beautiful legacy! what a wonderful life he had! we're all gonna be ok...

Rich and Lynn, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time. My son grew up friends with Stanley and shared stories with me during this past week. They were nice stories that made us laugh while we cried. The entire Connetquot community mourns the loss of such a wonderful young man.

i lost a friend this year so i know what all of his friends are going through but i cant imagine how his family is feeling especailly his mom. Stan was so young but accomlished so much in life already i didnt know Stan myself but i know people who did. ill pray for him and his family.

My son Jonathan played football with Stanley the past two years and often came home with stories about his leadership, friendship, kindness, and athleticism. My older son graduated with Alex St. Nicholas and we continue to pray for both his family and yours as we grieve this tragic loss in Connetquot. Our deepest sympathy to your family. Stan was a great young man. I remember at the sports banquet hearing his name being announced and knowing that another really good boy from my daughters group getting an award. How proud his parents must be. These boys are such great kids. To the Hartnett Family,
Words cannot express how saddened we feel for your loss. Stan played travel soccer with our daughter Andrea and I always remembered him being a great goalie. My finest memory is of him taking the time during practices and half time, teaching her brother Chris how to play in the goal. Over the years as he has grown to be a goalie himself, I have always told people that Stan was his teacher. He may never have known the impact he had on a 6-year-old boy back then, but we will never forget. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Rich, Lynn, Kevin, Steven, Butterbean, Andrew and Leeann,
Glenn called me this morning with this most painful, heartbreaking news I have ever had in my life. As I type this, tears are falling as I remember that sweet little blond boy who loved to play video games. One of the biggest regrets I have had to live with since our divorce is losing our friendship and losing my chance to continue to play with the kids and watch them grow up. Please know that my heart and prayers are with you now and always. If there is anything I can possibly help you with, ANYTHING, please call me, (631) 424-2961. Glenn and I have been on speaking terms for a while now. He always talks about Stan and your other children. For me, it's like I saw them yesterday. I'm still crying. Dear Mr. & Mrs. Harnett and family:
I don't even know what to say because there are never ever any words to justify why something so horrific as this happens. As a parent, my heart aches for you. From what I can see, Stan was an incredible person, who had such a lasting impact on all those around him. My daughter Brooke and many many friends in the group are devastated. He was a great friend to them and will be terribly missed! Hold on tight to your family and your memories for that is what will guide you through during this most horrible time. Stan was a positive influence on my son Hank Hutton. They were on soccer and basketball teams together when they were younger. Hank had alot of respect for him. It was truly an honor to know him.
