ANDERSON - Edward A. Jr., 81, of Babylon, on August 5, 2008. Long time Babylon Village resident. Former proprietor of the Anderson Agency, Babylon Village. Retired from the Prudential Insurance Co. WWII Navy Veteran. Beloved husband of Clare (nee Power). Loving father of Edward III (Kathleen), James (Sally), Regina and Robert Anderson and Bernadette Maier (Brad). Cherished grandfather of Keely Schuppert, Patricia, Catherine, Christopher, Amy, Kaitlyn and Elizabeth Anderson and Kelly and Barbara Maier. Caring great-grandfather of Christina, Nicole and Allison Schuppert. Dear brother of William, Ronald, Kenneth and Sr. Teresa O.P. Anderson. Friends may visit Thursday and Friday, 2-4:30 and 7-9:30pm, at Claude R. Boyd- Spencer Funeral Homes, 448 West Main Street, Babylon Village. Funeral Mass Saturday, 10am, at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Babylon. Interment following at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Babylon. In lieu of flowers contributions appreciated, in his memory to either St. Joseph's Church, Babylon, the Dominican Sisters, Amityville or Good Shepherd Hospice.

This news just reached me and I was very sad to hear of it. Mr. Anderson was kind enough to give me the opportunity to do some computer consultation at Anderson Agency many years ago and every time I entered that building, I was always treated like a member of the family. My deepest condolences to the family.
