FARRELL - Walter D., 84 years of age, of Garden City on August 10. Loving husband of Alicia and the late Eva. Caring father of Candiace Way, Dennis, Maureen Gross, Judy Clark and Daniel. Devoted grandfather of ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Caring brother to James. Retired Deputy Inspector, NYPD & Special Agent for USDA. Avid Notre Dame fan. Visiting at the Fairchild Sons Funeral Chapel, Franklin Ave. and 12th St., Garden City on Monday 7-9pm and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday 10am St. Joseph's Church, Garden City.

Dear Aunt Alicia and family,

We were saddened to learn of uncle Walter's death but know that he had suffered much and is now at peace.

He was always such a happy guy and had a warm smile for every one ... he will be missed ... the world could use more "Walters"
