Mrs. Schmidt was one of those unforgettable teachers - closing my eyes 60 years later and I can still feel and see her big smile and loving energy. While her life was not easy, she never let that interfere with her positive and contagious spirit. She taught me how to keep my head when all about me were losing theirs... The linger youre gone, the more we all miss you.

I am so sorry about Mrs. Schmidt. She was my seventh grade teacher and I have fond memories of her. I feel bad that I did not know about her passing until recently. May she rest in peace. She was the best teacher I ever had.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.

It is with great sorrow that I learned of the passing of my Sixth Grade teacher, Christine Schmidt. (1959-1960) She was an unforgettable and remarkable teacher, having taught many of College Point's Baby Boomers at St. Fidelis School. Her energy, smile and kindness was an inspiration to all -is dearly cherished and will be greatly missed.
