Norma Reynolds Obituary

REYNOLDS - Norma. "We don't follow in anyone's footsteps, we make our own<\\q>" - Norma Reynolds. Once in a lifetime a person comes along who changes the way things are done<\\q> not only was Norma Reynolds the first woman in the Westhampton Beach, Quogue, and Remsenburg area to run a successful real estate office in a field flooded with men, she raised a family and managed in her "spare time" to create an unmistakable brand of the "people in white" that we all know and love<\\q> Norma Reynolds will forever be known as a trendsetter with the uncanny ability to tell it like it is<\\q> She was a powerful, extraordinary, real estate icon in the luxury real estate. She will forever have a place in the history of the Hamptons and no one will ever forget her infectious laughter or her signature hat! Norma Reynolds is survived by her husband Robert Verdi, her four children, Vicky, Ed, Greg and Melanie, three grandchildren, Marissa, Carly and Austin, two son-in laws, Philip and Roland and her dog Maggie. Norma's successful and thriving business and her love of the Hamptons lives on<\\q> She touched many lives and definitely lived up to her phrase "Our favorite 4-letter word is SOLD!!!"

August 16, 2008

It all began at a health spa. During
a morning exercise class the instuctor ask that we put our right foot up on the exercise bar. The lady next to me said, "I have a bad knee, could you help me?" My reply was , "I'll need a crane!" It was the beginning of a lasting sisterhood, friendship, and mutual respect for one another. Thank you Norma for sharing your life with me. The windjammer trip in Bar Harbor, spending Thanksgiving dinners together. Norma you have taught me well. You will live in my heart forever. I love you Norma,
