BALACKI - Edward P., of Syosset, on August 16, 2008 after a brief illness. (Vet U.S. Army and co-owner of Majestic Building Maintenance, Inc.). Loving husband of Stephanie for 57 years. Devoted father of Robert (Carol-Ann), Patti Keaster (Kevin), Ginny Alese (Jay) and Carol Primavera (John). Dear brother ofLouis and Leon. Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Jessica, Tracey, Karin, Jennifer, Melanie, Victoria, Catherine and Gillian. He joins his only grandson, Jason, in heaven. Friends may call Tuesday 2-5 and 7-9pm, at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Hicksville Chapel, 47 Jerusalem Avenue (corner of West Marie St.). Mass, Wednesday morning at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church, Brookville. Interment, St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or The American Kidney Foundation in his memory would be appreciated.

So sorry for the loss of your husband and father. Although, I never met him, I have heard great things about him from my sister Christine. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Mr.B, so many memories from so long ago. I know that this man reached out to a boy that could have been lost to the world and showed him patience and tolerance. He took the time even when he didn't have to. For that I am grateful.
I don't pass Tony's shack in Westbury or hear Polka music on the radio without thinking of him. It's only today that I realize what he gave, shared. What we've lost... My most heartfelt sympathies to you all.
I find comfort in the words, He has prepared a room for each of us and we shall dwell with him forever.
