Dorothy Levy Obituary

LEVY – Dorothy S., 88, passed away on August 26, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Charles Levy. Devoted mother of Michael and the late Jonathan. She is survived by her sister Audrey Schultz of Sparks, NV, her aforementioned son Michael, and two grandchildren, Michelle and Justine. Resident of Levittown for over 50 years. In addition to 18 years of work at Temple Israel in Great Neck and her involvement at the synagogue, Dorothy was active in the Island Trees School District where her sons formerly attended school. She previously served as President of the Island Trees PTA and later went on to serve as President of the Nassau County chapter of PTAs. She also served as District Clerk for the Island Trees school district. Service was held yesterday, Thursday August 28, 2008 at Gutterman's, Inc. in Woodbury. Family will receive friends at son Michael's home in Levittown on Friday August 29 from 12pm-8pm and on Saturday August 30 starting at 6pm.
