Theodore A. Dinati

DINATI - Theodore A., 87 years, of Old Bethpage, New York and formerly of Lynn, MA died on Saturday, August 30, 2008 after a long illness. He is the husband of Mrs. Helen (Coukos) Nelson. He was the husband of the late Olga M. (Coukos) Dinati. He was born in Melrose, the son of the late Daniel A. and Rose (Pascucci) Dinati. He was raised in Melrose and was a graduate of Melrose High School. He has lived in Old Bethpage, NY since 1987. Mr. Dinati was a WWII Army Veteran. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the South Pacific and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was an avid golfer. He enjoyed photography and was a lover of nature. He enjoyed music, the arts and loved to travel. He was a member of the Lions Club in New York and a member of the Veterans of Foreign War. Mr. Dinati was a self employed carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union. He retired in 1987 after over 40 years. Mr. Dinati is survived by his two daughters, Rosemary D. Graves of Coventry, RI and Susan J. Searles and her husband Glen W. of Groton, MA. He leaves his five grandchildren Adam D. Russell of Los Angeles, Wendy E. Russell of Providence, RI, Rachael E., Katie R. and Daniel Glen Theodore Searles all of Groton, MA. He leaves his sister, Mary D. DiCarlo of Wilmington. He also leaves several nieces and nephews including Marion Nelson Villafana and Elaine Nelson Herrick and their children. He is the brother of the late Anthony D. Dinati. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00am from the Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 67 Ocean Street (Rte 1A), Lynn, MA. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn, MA.
