GASPARETTO - Mary, on September 4, 2008, age 85, of Kingwood, TX formerly of St. James and Huntington, N.Y. Beloved wife of the late Alfred (Sonny) Gasparetto. Loving mother of Josephine (William E.) Richard of Kingwood, TX and Diana (Leonard) Rinaldo of Westport, Ct. Cherished grandmother of Meredith Rinaldo of Boston, Ma. Born in Brooklyn, New York on February 25, 1923 the daughter of the late Pasqualina and Matteo Carvelli, she moved with her husband and daughters in 1959 to East Northport. Sonny and Mary, as they were known by their friends, built a successful tile and marble construction business on L.I. Mary worked for the NY State Dept. of Taxation and Finance in Hauppauge until her retirement at the age of 74. She will be dearly remembered by her family and friends as a strong, caring and compassionate woman. Family and friends may visit at the Claude R. Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home, 1785 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY on Monday 7-9:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday 10:15am SS. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, Deer Park, N.Y.
