William H. Heim

HEIM - William H., age 90. On September 20, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Jane. Loving and dear father of Nancy and special father-in-law to Alan Davis. Cherished brother to the late Grace. William attended Brooklyn Technical High School and graduated from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn as a mechanical engineer. In World War II, William served in the Army Air Corps as an airplane mechanic and he became Captain. He "traveled around the world" and served in India and China. William worked for Western Electric Company as a Department Chief, and resided in Valley Stream for 61 years. Family will receive friends tomorrow from 2-4:30pm and 7-9pm at The Moore Funeral Home, 54 West Jamaica Avenue Valley Stream, NY 11580. Religious Service will be at 3pm at funeral home. Interment Wednesday at 1pm at Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity of your choice or Grace United Methodist Church, 21 South Franklin Avenue Valley Stream, NY 11580.
