PENTECOSTE - Salvatore J., of Central Islip, L.I., on September 25, 2008. Beloved husband of Marie Pentecoste. Loving father of Joseph and Vivian Pentecoste, Anthony and Raina Pentecoste, Michael and Joanne Pentecoste and Jeanmarie and Stephen Pontieri. Cherished grandfather of Katie, Grace, Kristi, Tyler, Andrew, Julianna, Eric, Michael, Ava and Nicholas. Adored brother of Lillian O'Shaughnessy. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons East Islip Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street (1/2 Mile West of the S.S. Parkway, Exit 45W). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial, St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church Islip Terrace, L.I. Monday 9:30am. Entombment to follow at Queen of All Saints, Central Islip, L.I. Visiting Saturday and Sunday 2-4:30 and 7-9:30pm.

What a tremendous loss to our family but what a fabulous gain in heaven. We believe that Uncle Sal is dancing and joking in heaven. He is sorely missed by all who had the pleasure to know him and to love him. Thanks Uncle Sal for the lasting memories of joy and fun together. To all of Sal's family. You have lost a wonderful man. Please accept my deepest sympathies. I hardly knew him, he was a friend of my husband, (Pat Phillips), but whenever I saw them talking with each other after church, there was always a lot of laughter. I'm sure they're together up in heaven now clowning around with each other again.
