William Csorny Obituary

CSORNY - William, on September 25, 2008 of Mt. Sinai, L.I. Beloved husband of Monica. Loving father of Lauren and Kathryn. Devoted son of William and Marie Csorny. Dear brother of Donald and his wife Mary, James and his wife Amy, Ann Marie, Austin and his wife Nancy, and Jean Controneo and her husband Cosmo. Survived by his mother-in-law Irma Ventura, brother-in-law William Ventura and his wife Laura and 12 nieces and nephews. Mr. Csorny was a retired Lieutenant New York City Fire Department. Reposing at Casimir Funeral Home 523 Rt. 112 Port Jefferson Station, L.I. Visitation Sunday 2-4:30 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass 11am Monday at Infant Jesus R.C. Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

I remember Bill coming into Engine 275 as a proby. He was a true gentleman. Always brought out the good in people. A terrific firefighter, true friend and proud Husband and Father. Thank you for sharing Bill with us in the firehouse. His smile will be missed.
