Jesse Shropshire Obituary

SHROPSHIRE - Jesse, formerly of Miller Place, NY, passed away Thursday September 25, 2008 at his home in Palm Coast, FL. Born July 26, 1932 in Astoria NY to the late Jesse and Carmela Shropshire. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Kay. Jesse served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed bowling, playing guitar, and being the jokester with his family and friends, was a member of the Elks Club and the NRA. Additional survivors include sisters Joyce Edgar, Jeri Kowalik, and brother Kenneth Shropshire, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Long Island, NY at a later date. Donations in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Lung Association.
