Joan Hilliard-Gonzalez Obituary

HILLIARD-GONZALEZ - Joan P., also known to many as "Pat", a New Suffolk resident previously from East Setauket. Joan grew up in Throgs Neck, the Bronx and graduated from St. Jean Baptiste. She attended the New York Foundling Hospital and later trained to become a registered nurse, working at Smithtown General Hospital. Beloved wife of Ubaldo. Devoted mother of Michael, Brian, Kathleen and Laureen, stepmother of John, David and Michael. Loving sister of Francis "Emmet" Daly, Mary Kelly Sawyer, and John Daly. Cherished grandmother of Sean, Madison, Ryan, Shannon, and Aidan. Admired by daughter-in- law Michele and son-in-law Andrew. Joan is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association. Visiting Sunday and Monday, 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home, Mattituck, NY. Mass Tuesday, October 21st, 10am at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Mattituck, NY.
